Spanish Rosary at Fairmount
Just want to update you on the first Hispanic parish 2nd Saturday Rosary with Father Wilmer and Nuestra Senora del Pilar parishioners.

We started at 10:00 p.m. on Friday night with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Divine Office for the first hour with the intention of the closing of Fairmount. After that, every hour a different group came in to pray the Divine Office, prayers and worship music. Father took the 2 a.m.- 3:00 a.m. slot and came back for Mass before we would leave in caravan to Fairmount. At 7:00 a.m. there were about 75 people in attendance that joined us for Mass and to go to Fairmount.

I made 10 maps and ran out so I know that we had at least 12 cars in the caravan. Carol (who was there in the morning) left her radios, so every car had a radio and Father recited the Rosary all the way to Fairmount. When we arrived at Fairmount, Father, my daughter Pati and I lead the people in prayer until we prayed the entire book of prayers issued out by Monsignor Reilly. Except for a few who had to leave to go to work, everyone else stayed to pray until we finished at about 11:30, just in time for Father Wilmer to make it to a 12:00 noon Mass!

It was very, very, cold and windy and dreary! The sidewalk counselors from the University of Dallas and another group of young people with the red tape on their mouths were there.

I am so grateful to Father Wilmer because this coming weekend he will spend Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday at the Rachel retreat helping us with our Spanish retreat. He commitment to our work is constant and unconditional - we ask, he comes through.

After an hour of adoration from 6am to 7am at OLOP - I went to Routh Street - even in the bitter cold - the women seemed very open - unusual at Routh - We gave out 13 pieces of literature (unusual) and had 4 SAVES! All Hispanic babies and this included a set of twins! We had the help of Norma Walker, a Hispanic SWC who is 9 months pregnant - she helped Marvin, the White Rose counselor, with a very difficult case - so the GRACE was over-flowing from Fairmount to Routh - the closest abortion center.
